RE/MAX Ignite principals Adam and Roxanne Workman compliment their intimate knowledge of the local property market with the RE/MAX® global reach and branding power, but their point of difference is even greater through the support they give to local schools and sporting groups.
Growing up in the Centenary suburbs and owning homes in Jamboree Heights, Karalee and Oxley has given the Workmans the edge on local knowledge, schooling and the overall demographics of these areas.
“Community involvement is a very important component of our business,” said Ms Workman.
“This is not only the community in which we do business but the community in which we choose to live.
“Business success and personal rewards come through supporting your local community and we have committed to supporting many of our local schools and their fund raising events.”
Middle Park Primary School is one such recipient of the Workman’s support, with RE/MAX Ignite getting behind the alternate annual fundraising events of a fete and a Ladies’ Day.
Ms Workman was MC at Ladies’ Day in November where, amongst other duties, she judged fascinators, shoes and overall outfits. More than 120 women attended the event, enjoying a three-course luncheon, champagne, fashions and a guest speaker.
RE/MAX Ignite is an ongoing supporter of Middle Park State School as well as holding other fundraisers such as disco nights and Halloween events in support of other schools and sporting teams in the community including Good News Lutheran School, Jamboree Heights State School, Yuingi Childcare, Jindalee Junior AFL and Kenmore Senior AFL.
In another annual initiative, the Workmans are currently ‘Playing Santa’.
“Last year we mailed more than 700 personalised letters to children and the occasional young adult,” explained Ms Workman, “and this year we are expecting to write over 1000.
“Some of the personal messages, and the reasons behind them, are heart-wrenching but I feel a whole lot of Christmas spirit goes into each envelope with every sprinkling of glitter.”
She sees an important relationship between community involvement efforts and work pleasure.
“Helping your community helps far more than your business’s bottom line,” said Ms Workman.
