One of the Far North’s best-known real estate figures, Tony Williamson, welcomed RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Michael Davoren to Cairns this week for the resigning of his commitment with the global real estate giant.
‘I’m very excited to be signing my third five-year franchise agreement with RE/MAX Australia,” Mr Williamson said.
“This is the greatest network in the World, and we’ve been able to achieve what have with RE/MAX, though its culture, support and resources, and international standing.”
The RE/MAX Real Estate Services’ principal is well-recognised as a market expert who has put Cairns on the global property radar. One of Cairns’ greatest ambassadors, he was officially awarded for his ambassadorial role by RE/MAX at the 2016 Asia Pacific Convention in Bangkok.
Last year he was invited to Japan in a mentoring and networking role and spoke at the RE/MAX Asia Pacific Convention in Seoul, Korea. This year he was a key speaker at the convention in New Delhi, India.
“I take my ambassadorial role in forging agent relationships very seriously and my passion is turning the global spotlight on the Cairns property market, said Mr Williamson.
This year is 30 years in the business of real estate for Mr Williamson, who launched RE/MAX Real Estate Services in Cairns in January 2010.
In 2016, Mr Williamson bought a purpose-built, non-denominational chapel and transformed it over subsequent months into something quite unique for the real estate industry. The eye-catching real estate office has proved to be a very popular and successful auction venue.
“I gave RE/MAX its first auction chapel in Australia, and possibly the world,” he said.
RE/MAX Australia’s Michael Davoren said Mr Williamson was a true advocate for the RE/MAX brand.
“He is a recognised leader, mentor and influencer whose business prowess and unquestionable passion for the real estate industry continually empower his team to be at peak performance.
“Cairns real estate clients and customers – and the RE/MAX network – are very fortunate to have Tony in their midst,” he said.
