The rebranding of a Graceville boutique franchise agency this week launches the first premium The RE/MAX Collection branded-real estate office in Australia.
Experienced husband and wife team Martin and Louise Hood celebrate the new look and level of real estate experience with RE/MAX Riverside, in their same prime Graceville location at 335 Honour Avenue.
Mr Hood said the rebranding decision came after many months of discussion with RE/MAX Australia and RE/MAX New Zealand’s Managing Director Michael Davoren and global headquarters RE/MAX,LLC.
“It became very clear to RE/MAX that Martin and Louise were real estate business owners who had been searching to improve their consumer-friendly modern boutique real estate office and inviting them to join RE/MAX would be a rewarding relationship,” Mr Davoren said.
The RE/MAX Collection is designed to create a strong impression among buyers and sellers in the luxury market around the world, offering specialised tools and resources for RE/MAX affiliates who specialise in high-end properties and wish to meet the expectations in service and presence that luxury home buyers and sellers have of a real estate professional.
Mr Hood explained “We have monitored the market and listened to the needs of real estate consumers during our time in the industry, and this is why we’ve adapted our business to now reflect the diverse range of buyers and sellers. We now can offer our ‘Premium Branding’ alongside the proven RE/MAX traditional ‘red, white and blue’ branding for general real estate services”.
He added that the greater acceptance of the internet by a broad section of the market meant agents had to change how they were seen.
“Our challenge that we face daily is one where we now are viewed globally and at any minute of the day a property for sale or lease is being researched online around Australia or the world.
“Don’t get me wrong, an agent needs to be selected locally so that they can truly understand their marketplace, clientele and the community in general, which is where the office branding comes to the fore.
“However, relationships are so vitally important as is the trust the client has in their agent to be able to target market their property, which will ultimately assist with days on market and achieving a desired price.”
Mrs Hood, who leads the property management part of the business, agreed
“We all lead such busy schedules these days and the internet allows us all to research the market whether sales or property management in the comfort of our own home when we have the time,” she said.
The Hoods have over 45 years of combined experience in real estate sales, property management and projects with 18 of those combined years under RE/MAX.
The pair made the recent move back to RE/MAX having missed the international reach in approximately 100 countries that the RE/MAX brand affords, something that their clientele directly benefits from.
“RE/MAX also has maturity as a real estate group and a culture that sits well with our passion for community involvement,” added Mr Hood.
“We decided we needed a brand, and all that comes with it, so the business could go further, and we want RE/MAX Riverside to grow based on a culture of putting people first.
““Successful franchisors create extra value beyond just the brand, which includes access to international marketing platforms and networks, supported business systems, extensive professional development and opportunities for extra income streams,” he said.
RE/MAX Australia’s Managing Director Michael Davoren said the addition of such a respected real estate business fitted the strategy of selecting franchise partners who shared RE/MAX core values and were well-established in their markets.
“RE/MAX is the right brand for real estate entrepreneurs who want a combination of independence, support and unmatched competitive advantages.
“It is the largest and most productive real estate industry in the world but its mission is to remain the worldwide real estate leader while it achieves its goals by helping others to achieve theirs.
“We welcome the return of Martin and Louise to the RE/MAX brand,” said Mr Davoren.
