Kev Perry moved his growing real estate team into new premises this month, the prominent bank building in Charlotte St, Crows Nest, just two doors up from the old office.
“This building suits us,” said Mr Perry, “because it is incredibly solid like the RE/MAX Country team and our real estate market.”
The original Queensland National Bank was built in 1905 in Curnow St. A new timber building was constructed at 6 Charlotte street in 1909. This was destroyed by fire and rebuilt as the National Bank (now NAB) from concrete and bricks in 1959.
The RE/MAX County office occupies the front of the building, in the lower level, and incorporates the bank vault, which Mr Perry saw as a great benefit in terms of security for his business and customers. The remainder of the building is a four-bedroom residence with a separate entry, which is tenanted.
“We were expanding, and the bank building offered an opportunity to create a better environment for the team and our customers,” he said.
RE/MAX Country comprises owner and sales specialist Kev Perry, office and property manager Ellen Ryan, Annie Frost in administration and Maddie Ruwoldt who joined the team in June from Crows Nest State High and is completing a two-year administration/business traineeship.
“We now welcome our new sales agent Cherie Pugh, who will be a great addition to our team,” Mr Perry said.
He said the market was producing very solid activity in the surrounding areas, from Highfields through to Esk, where properties from five acres to 300 acres were moving well.
The average house price in township of Crows Nest is $250,000 and acreage properties are in the $450,000 to $1.2mil range.
“The Crows Nest area offers a safe and affordable country lifestyle, and it’s an easy commute to Toowoomba. Buying here is attractive to young families, retirees and first home buyers; and we have a lot of interest from people wanting to own a home but have the freedom to travel.
“You can bank on us to help with all your real estate needs,” Mr Perry said.
