Bayside property team makes Melbourne Cup a winning fundraiser
RE/MAX Bayside Properties recently presented The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre with a $ 7527.11 cheque, the outcome of November fundraising.
The funds were the result of Melbourne Cup ticket sales for an event at Sirromet Winery organised by RE/MAX Bayside Properties, plus auctions on the day.
Choices provides information and support to all people affected by cancer and their families, offering access to a network of professionals including nurses, counsellors, physiotherapists, nutritionists and complementary therapies, as well as dedicated staff and volunteers.
“Raising funds for Choices is a cause very close to my heart,” said Wade Trask, Business Development Manager at RE/MAX Bayside Properties, “as I personally know how much such support means to cancer patients and their families.
“Our broker owners, Brad and Milly Nielson also have a personal commitment. Their son Dave, a sales associate at RE/MAX Bayside Properties, who happens to lead RE/MAX Australia’s #1 sales team, underwent treatment for cancer as a 19-year old.”
Brad and Milly Neilson and the team presented the cheque to Leonie Young, Peer Support Coordinator from Choices Cancer Support Centre at RE/MAX Bayside Properties’ Alexandra Hills office recently.
