The elite in the RE/MAX sales force wound up three days of professional stimulation at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart yesterday, June 18th.
RE/MAX Australia and RE/MAX New Zealand invite their top performers to participate in a forum of shared knowledge and experiences each year.
The Platinum + Forum theme of ‘THINK BIGGER – Even the best can be better’ led to a program of key speakers, high achiever presentations and workshops.
RE/MAX Director Joel Davoren said the three days were packed with great speakers, amazing events and cultural experiences.
“Underpinning the program is a purpose of giving our top performers knowledge and strategies to grow their own businesses,” he said, “and further to the content is setting a platform for interaction between our top performers.
“Sharing experiences and challenges is in keeping with the RE/MAX culture and we provided a platform where this could occur more than ever before, through workshops where matters were raised and solutions found.”
The annual Platinum + Forum is provided exclusively for RE/MAX high achievers and is a ‘by invitation only’ event.
“Last year was not the easiest year for our industry so it was a massive achievement to be on the invitation list for this year’s event,” Mr Davoren said.
Forum speakers were Greg Braun, REA; the former Premier of Tasmania, David Bartlett; and Simon Banks, founder of VisualFunk.
“Greg Braun is renowned for inspiring change and transforming the well of consumer data at his fingertips at realestate.com.au into meaningful information,” said Mr Davoren, “and as a researcher, he believes there’s never been a more exciting time to be in the tech and property field.
“David Bartlett is a brilliant speaker on decoding the future and is a key government advisor on digital technology. When he was Premier of Tasmania, he switched on the first non-Telstra owned optic fibre backbone in the state, developed the first broad scale FTTP brown-fields roll out and championed his home state as the first National Broadband Network location.
“Simon Banks’ company, VisualFunk, brings creativity and fresh thinking to organisations that want to grow, develop and foster a culture of innovation in their teams to produce great ideas, products and results. Three top-class speakers!”
Mr Davoren said a panel featuring RE/MAX top performers New Zealander Don Ha, from RE/MAX Revolution, and Daryn Trowbridge and Darren Lewis, from RE/MAX Regency on the Gold Coast, built on the exceptional key speaker presentations.
“Don spoke about being courageous in business and aiming for beyond what you think you can achieve. Daryn and Darren gave valuable advice on structuring a successful team.”
Social events included a welcome reception at Frogmore Creek Winery and a memorable MONA experience.
“We produced an event to remind our high achievers that it is always possible to improve, and that the ‘best’ never stop trying,” said Mr Davoren, who also gave credit to the event’s Platinum Sponsor, realestate.com.au.
