Nambour real estate principal Steve Perry says his RE/MAX Property Sales team sees daily evidence of real estate consumers confident in the Nambour and surrounds property market, and considers the market to be one of the strongest on the Sunshine Coast.
“Stock is the tightest it has been for some time after seeing a constant build in demand through last year, and lack of supply is underpinning price performance.
“The Sunshine Coast was one of the top performers in the State last year and is identified as one of the fastest growing for this year
“With a median of around $355,000 for a three-bedroom house, Nambour is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most affordable areas. Buyers, both investor and owner-occupier groups, see this.
“My sales team is kept on its toes. On a recent Saturday morning, for example, one agent wrote five contracts in three and half hours.”
Mr Perry said the year had begun with properties remaining on the market for around 75 days but that had been steadily dropping.
“It’s not unusual at all to have good buys on the market for under a month.”
He said the refurbishment of the Nambour Hospital was a positive that a few short-sighted people overlooked.
“The Sunshine Coast Hospital has made way for the opportunity to make the Nambour Hospital fit-for-future use, and add to Nambour’s position as an affordable and attractive residential hub on the Sunshine Coast,” he said.
RE/MAX Property Sales was recently recognised in Rate My Agent consumer-driven awards with accolades for Nambour Agency of the Year and Nambour Agent of the Year, Richard Krausz.
The RateMyAgent Agent/Agency of the Year Awards compare over 26,000 agents and agencies across the country. They highlight the leading real estate agents and agencies in each suburb, city and state across Australia, and on a national level.
Mr Krausz represented one of Sydney’s most successful real estate offices until relocating his family to the Sunshine Coast in 2012 and joining RE/MAX Property Sales. Lifestyle program viewers may recall him from Foxtel’s ‘Selling Houses Australia – Extreme’ where his skills turned a previous ‘marketing nightmare’ into a street-record sale within a three week period.
“Our RE/MAX agents are very experienced, said Mr Perry, “with a number on the team having previously owned their own successful real estate businesses before choosing to work under the RE/MAX business model.”
The RE/MAX Property Sales owner settled on the Sunshine Coast in 1997. He began his real estate career as an acreage specialist and continues to specialise in lifestyle acreage more than 15 years on. After settling in excess of more than 600 sales, he is named in both the RE/MAX national and international Halls of Fame.
“The Nambour and surrounds property market deserves the confidence we are seeing from our customers, and in these times of record low interest rates, it is still so affordable compared with the rest of the Coast.
“We are happy that confidence has let to customers rating us so highly through the reviews they provide on the RateMyAgent website,” said Mr Perry.
