RE/MAX RE/MAX Bayside Properties & Results Principal Hayley Van de Ven could easily fit the mould of an International Women’s Day trailblazer and is certainly influential in the real estate industry and the community.
She is the savvy business owner behind two of RE/MAX Australia’s most successful franchise businesses: RE/MAX Results, with offices in Morningside, Brisbane and Mackay, and RE/MAX Bayside Properties in Cleveland and Alexander Hills. She has incorporated these two franchises under the umbrella of the Limitless Group.
Ms Van de Ven manages 45 agents, 10 property managers, seven leadership team members and 24 support staff. Her business model supports an all-women leadership team and women make up 70 per cent of the Limitless Group.
Family is incredibly important to Hayley and the people in her real estate teams are an extension of this.
“I’m really passionate about women and everyone feeling empowered and creating that ‘you can have it all’ attitude,” she said.
“I want my two young sons to grow up understanding equality, knowing that we are all important, that no one is more important than anyone else and we’re all capable of paying the household bills. I want them to value women and feel comfortable with a professional woman that is of equal pay to them.”
A flexible working environment exists across RE/MAX Bayside Properties & Results, which has supported women in many ways through COVID, and more recently weather events, by operating in-house creche facilities, for example.
Tuesday 8th March marks International Woman’s Day, where countries all over the world unite in the celebration of women’s achievements.
“The ITA theme this year is ‘gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’ which I proudly support as a business owner.
“I want every person on my team to enjoy a gender equal world, one that is free of stereotypes and discrimination, and where difference is valued and celebrated.”
Ms Van de Ven’s goal is to lead Queensland’s number one agent-centric real estate business.
“I’m genuine when I say we have the world’s best team. We are client-focused, commercially minded, and get results. We leave out the ego stuff and everyone is equal.
“Recognising the achievements of women and advancing gender equality by celebrating International Women’s Day – #BreakTheBias – is an honour,” she said.
