Juana Bernado’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea returns on Thursday 26th May 2016 at the Toowong Bowls Club, Taringa.
The award-winning Brisbane western suburbs’ agent has been hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea since 2014, raising money for Cancer Council Australia and helping to fight cancer.
Last year she raised $4100 and has raised her fundraising goal to $4,500 for the 2016 event.
Planned for this year’s variety entertainment this year are a Tai Chi demonstration and a tea cosy exhibition.
Ms Bernado said the artistic creations were crafted by generous members of the community, including one special knitter in her nineties.
Many of the fabulous tea cosies will available as raffle prizes and through a silent auction on the day.
Ms Bernado is well-known to be passionate about helping her real estate customers and her mantra of ‘going the extra mile with a smile’, but guests at this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea will see another of her talents when she and husband John take the floor in a ballroom dancing demonstration.
An apron is not normally part of a real estate agent’s professional attire but Ms Bernardo will don the official ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ apron as part of her daily apparel from Monday 9th May right through to her fundraiser, and she is looking for sponsorship to encourage her to wear it.
“Last year, I wore it to church, to a ball, to tai chi and everywhere, and this year I’ve bought two aprons for the challenge!” she said.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, hosted by Juana Bernado, is from 10am to 12noon on Thursday 26th May. Entry is by a suggested $5 donation but an RSVP would be appreciated by Friday 20th May, by phone 3510- 5228 or SMS to 0439 552 782 or email to juanasupport@remax.com.au.
For those who cannot make it to the morning tea but wish to sponsor Ms Bernardo or donate to the Cancer Council, a secure donation can also be made via the donation page.
