RE/MAX Bayside Properties recently presented Make-A-Wish® Australia with a $6740 cheque, the result of a March campaign.
The listing promotion secured a $250 donation from the real estate office for every settled property transaction that was listed in the month of March.
“We are very pleased to support Make A Wish through the assistance of our sellers who listed with us in March and the buyers who subsequently purchased those properties,” said Wade Trask, Business Development Manager at RE/MAX Bayside Properties.
Mr Trask said that a number of the sales agents on the RE/MAX Bayside Properties team had donated more than the $250 minimum.
“This is a cause very close to my heart,” he said, “as my son Carter was a wish recipient four years ago and I personally know how much it means to both recipients and their families.
“Our broker owners, Brad and Milly Nielson, also have a personal commitment. Their son Dave, a sales associate at RE/MAX Bayside Properties who happens to be RE/MAX Australia’s #1 team leader, underwent treatment for cancer as a 19-year old.”
Mr Trask said while Make-A Wish grants the wishes of children and young people with life-threatening medical conditions, approximately 60 per cent of children who are granted wishes have some form of cancer.
Brad and Milly Neilson, along with RE/MAX Australia’s Jessica Kiely, presented the cheque to Jaimi-Lee Tobin, Fundraising Development Manager, Make-A-Wish® Australia at RE/MAX Bayside Properties’ Alexandra Hills office.
