TIFFANY lives in Brisbane, Queensland, works in real estate and is about to become the darling of American television when she appears in an episode of House Hunters International, which will be filmed in Brisbane’s western suburbs mid-February.
Tiffany also happens to be an almost eight-year- old Shih Tzu x Cavalier who partners with RE/MAX United Vision agent Tracey Ashley.
House Hunters International is a long running American reality TV series aired on the House & Garden TV network and Lifestyle channels around the world. In America alone, 70 million can follow the story of immigrating individuals, couples and families as they search for their new home.
The show’s Australian-based producer, Anita Poteri, connected with Ms Ashley initially through Facebook.
“The show had covered a family that moved with their dogs to 1770 in Queensland. The American audience loved it and wanted more content involving animals, so the search was on,” said Ms Poteri.
In the coming episode, Tiffany and Ms Ashley’s real estate clients are an animal-loving family that’s currently without a pet. They’ve sold their house in the UK, were filmed bidding farewell to family in the US, and plan to settle in Brisbane’s western suburbs.
Ms Poteri has produced around 180 House Hunters International episodes and Tiffany is the first four-pawed real estate agent she’s filmed.
“Anita said they were keen to feature more dogs on the show and even though I’d heard filming could involve ten hours over three days, I knew Tiffany would be up to it as she’d put in 12-hour days with a production of Wizard of Oz last year.”
Tiffany has been a ‘paws-on’ off-sider in Ms Ashley’s real estate career since 2013; and from the time the pooch became an integral part of Ms Ashely’s business, Tiffany’s appeal was very evident.
“I have no doubt that Tiffany makes a difference to sales success,” said Ms Ashley.
For the House Hunters International episode, Ms Ashley will assist the family to find a rental property after having been given a description of what they seek.
“They film as I show the family three properties, and they choose their preferred home.
“RE/MAX United Vision will also feature, and a bonus is that Tiffany and I receive US$500 for our involvement.”
House Hunters International isn’t Tiffany’s first brush with television fame. She was interviewed by Sonia Kruger and David Campbell on Channel Nine’s Today Extra in 2016.
Adding to Tiffany’s significant media coverage, there is an entire chapter on her in Dogs with Jobs, a book by Sydney author Laura Greaves, published by Penguin in November last year and available from all major bookstores and through Amazon.
“I’ve given copies as a thank you to pet-loving customers,” said Ms Ashley.
Tiffany also appears in A Dog’s Life magazine, January edition, a publication for dog lovers in Australia and New Zealand.
The House Hunters International episode featuring Tracey Ashley and Tiffany will air in America in four to six months and then subsequently offered in 100 countries, including here in Australia, on 9Life Channel.
