Hotel X in Brisbane was ‘control central’ for the RE/MAX Australia Broker Forum held on 10th November.
More than 60 gathered across three locations, with others participating on line.
With three different time zones to contend with, Western Australia kicked off with breakfast while Queensland and New South Wales began the day with morning tea.
Industry guest speakers were Real Estate Institute of Australia Head of Research Simon Pressley, the only person in Australia to correctly predict that property markets would actually boom through COVID times; Sadhana Smiles, CEO of Real Estate Industry Partners, which is leading the charge to future proof the sustainability of the real estate industry; and Kylie Walsh who is recognised as one of the most influential women in property, business and leadership expertise.
Dylan Alcott, OAM, provided inspiration as the keynote speaker. In just over three decades, his accomplishments include tennis, basketball, radio host and motivational speaker. At 17, he was a gold medal winner in wheelchair basketball at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. He returned to wheelchair tennis with the 2016 Rio Paralympics in his sights and won two gold medals there. He was named the 2016 Australian Paralympian of the Year. He won all four majors, the Grand Slam, at this year’s Paralympics.
Dylan’s radio and television profile includes hosting shows on Triple J and ABC radio, and as commentator for the 2018 Australian Open and on the AFL Footy Show panel.
“This was an outstanding speaker line-up, “said Professional Development Manager Jasmine Revfeim, “and we deliberately secured exceptional venues in each state for our broker owners to connect across the nation after what has been a tough few months for many in the network.”
Completing the list of venues were Pier One in Sydney and Ritz Carlton in Perth.
