The Real Estate Institute of Queensland, REIQ, has appointed Katie Knight from RE/MAX Success a s the new Toowoomba Zone Chair.
Ms Knight is the reigning REIQ Property Manager of the Year. She has won the distinguished Property Manager of the Year award a record six times and is considered an exceptional representative of the real estate profession.
REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said, “Those who know Katie know that she is extremely experienced, very knowledgeable, very professional and a great ambassador of the real estate profession. We couldn’t be more thrilled to appoint Katie to this role.”
Ms Knight said she was excited about the challenges of the role and relished the opportunity to represent the REIQ at the Toowoomba level.
“This is such an exciting market and there’s so much that the REIQ is involved in. I’m really thrilled to take up this post at an important time, when REIQ is leading the fight against negative gearing and fighting for a fair and balanced rental market for both renters, landlords and property managers,” she said.
Ms Knight is taking over the role from the outgoing chair, David Snow, who resigned his position after more than five years in the role due to time pressures of business and community pursuits.
