Tash Launches New Career in Sales

July 5, 2021

Real estate principal Ray Murphy takes personal pride in announcing the newest sales agent on his RE/MAX Real Estate Services team, Natasha Whalley-Thompson.

“Natasha’s passion for real estate and helping people fulfil property dreams has stood out from the moment she joined my brother David and I as our sales team’s executive assistant, and we always planned for her to step into the agent role one day.

“After nearly two years as our executive assistant and winning RE/MAX Australia ‘Personal Assistant of the Year 2020’, it is time for Tash to begin her new chapter as a real estate sales agent for RE/MAX Real Estate Services Cairns – and we suspect the sky’s the limit for her.

“It is very exciting to be able to announce this as now-owner of the office.”

Real estate was an early career choice for Cairns-born-and-raised Ms Whalley-Thompson who completed her year 10 work experience with well-known agent Debbie Aldred and became her personal assistant after graduating high school, joining the RE/MAX Cairns family in 2013.

“I had worked with Debbie for around two years when I had an opportunity to work on a private luxury super yacht in the Mediterranean, and I lived overseas until 2019.”

Ms Whalley-Thompson returned to Australia – and real estate – employed as the Executive Assistant to ‘The Ray Murphy Team’, which became an even more demanding role when the Murphy brothers took over as owners of RE/MAX Real Estate Services.

“I was privileged to work with the best in the industry,” said. “The Ray Murphy Team is a consistent award-winner and Debbie Aldred is the #76 RE/MAX agent in the world.

“We planned, as a team, that I would one day step into the agent role myself, with the training and mentoring setting me up for success.

“I feel like I could not have been given a better head start in my sales career”, said Ms Whalley-Thompson who has been licensed to sell real estate in Queensland since 2012.

“I am now stepping away from the team as a sales agent in my own right for RE/MAX Real Estate Services and am super excited.”

Mr Murphy said office receptionist, Leah Everist, had been promoted to fill big shoes in the PA role.

Natasha Whalley-Thompson can be contacted on mobile 0487 154 973 and email tash@remax.com.au.
