RE/MAX Partners Real Estate welcomes office manager Jess Denton this month after the team hit the ground running in April this year.
“We sought Jess for her experience in real estate administration and bringing her into the team will allow us to better service our customers,” said principal Reece O’Brien.
Hervey Bay resident Ms Denton supports the very strong sales team of Mr O’Brien, Stephen and Laura Wright, and Amanda Batcheler, a team that saw more than $13.1 million in sales volume and 40-plus contracts written in a single quarter – the 2020 September quarter.
Mr O’Brien said that 2019 listings had sat at 2900, generally the standard figure over many years in the Hervey Bay market.
“In January this year, it was a bit over 1800, but then dropped progressively from there sped up by COVID 19. As of 1st October 2020, it sat at 1378.”
He forecasts strong market activity for the rest of the year.
“Local buyers and sellers are very active, with many keen to upgrade ahead of rising prices; and the interstaters have worked out the value in this region, comparing the Fraser Coast to the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast and finding a better property for their dollars.
“If the stock is there it will be sold, including vacant land where availability is clearly low.
“We are consistently seeing multiple offers in all sectors of the market and price points from 200k to $700k, which leads to good prices achieved.”
Days on market are as low as he has ever seen.
“Auctions are unsurpassed in creating both interest and competition,” says advocate Mr O’Brien, “and the majority of auction campaigns are resulting in properties selling prior to the set auction day.”
